I know, because I was one of them.
I lost myself in the grind, burned out completely, and got blindsided by a HEART ATTACK.
The day this happened, three thoughts haunted me:
- I could have died, and I still may not get be here for my family as long as I want
- I haven’t finished fulfilling my calling or building my legacy for my children, and
- I and those around me had no idea I was in trouble, until it was almost too late

ABOUT JASON
Jason Murillo, MS is the leading authority on Fulfillment Leadership™, the creator of Lead to the Fullest™ Leadership & Mental Performance, and the author of the Lead to the Fullest Coach’s Guide, Lead to the Fullest Program Journal, and upcoming Lead to the Fullest book. He’s also the Founder of Murillo Leadership, a veteran-owned consultancy dedicated to researching and developing leadership and mental performance in high-stakes organizations.
As a heart-attack survivor and former U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman turned Organizational Counselor, Speaker, and Strategist; Jason has spent the last 30 years developing expertise and integrating acumen in applied psychology, organizational behavior, and learning and development; as well as mental and public health, cybersecurity, and strategic facilitation to become a solution for times like these. He has consulted as a Cybersecurity Workforce Development Strategist to the U.S. Federal Government, is a former faculty member of the National Center for Healthcare Capacity Building; and is a former Sr. Instructor of Information Assurance with the U.S. Department of State, Diplomatic Security Training Center. Jason has also been privileged to create leadership and management development programs for Jack Welch and the Jack Welch Management Institute, the Joe Gibbs Racing & Strayer University Partnership, the U.S. Navy Military Sealift Command, the Og Mandino Leadership Institute, and many others.
As a professional speaker, Jason also enjoys helping clients and organizations elevate their special events. He has had the honor of hosting the National Red Cross Red Capet Awards, National Training Meetings for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and regularly hosts the Cyber Maryland Conference, Annual Government Procurement Conference, USDA Cybersecurity Expo, and the DISA-JSP Cyber Awareness Forums at the DoD Mark Center and the Pentagon.
Jason obtained his Master of Science degree in Organizational Counseling from the Johns Hopkins University (clinical counseling program with specializations in organizational behavior and consulting); a Graduate Certificate in Instructional Systems Development, Training & Development from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County; and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health, Community Health Education, from the University of Maryland, College Park.
In his free time, Jason loves being active with his family in Fredericksburg, Virginia where, as an avid inline skater and aspiring Ironman® triathlete he’s determined to “Signify” heart-healthy living and support the global reversal of heart disease.
